The Link between Public Opinion and Policies: Findings and Perceptions from the 2024 Albanian Security BarometerIn the framework of the project:
Measuring citizens' attitudes towards security and justice in Albania

The Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance held the discussion roundtable “The Link between Public Opinion and Policies: Findings and Perceptions from the 2024 Albanian Security Barometer.” This event, which brought together representatives of public institutions and civil society actors, aimed to present and discuss the findings of the national security survey.

🔎 The 2024 Security Barometer explored Albanian citizens’ perceptions and opinions on major security threats and challenges, including political, economic, food, health, and personal security. Special attention was given to personal security from a masculinity perspective, analyzing its role in gender conflicts and insecurities.

During the roundtable, significant results were presented, aiming to assist in the formulation and implementation of evidence-based security policies, with the goal of improving citizens’ security and strengthening democratic governance.

▶️ The role of the Parliament and its members is crucial in utilizing these findings to develop effective policies and ensure their fair and transparent implementation. The use of data and findings provided by the Barometer is essential for better understanding citizens’ needs and addressing security challenges sustainably and responsibly.
