Roundtable Discussion: “Regional security cooperation and accession to the EU: A citizens’ perspective”In the framework of the project: Western Balkans Security Barometer 2021
Euro-Atlantic integration has been the dominant policy approach to achieving long term stabilization and development of Western Balkans region and in overall this policy has been effective in both aspects: Euro-Atlantic integration and regional cooperation.
However, despite the progress made, the initial goals of regional cooperation – good neighbor relations, reconciliation, and mutual understanding – continue to be encountered by different challenges.
Against this setting the Western Balkans Security Barometer (WBSB) has collected data measuring attitudes and opinions of the Albanian citizens regarding the EU integration and regional security.
The event held at Albanian Mediterranean University aimed to provide a platform for discussion of the findings in the light also of the latest security developments in Ukraine.
