The Albanian Coordination Centre for Countering Violent Extremism organised on June 4th, 2018 the Western Balkans Regional Conference on “Countering Violent Extremism Together: Partnering for Success”. The objective of the conference was to foster the partnership and cooperation among the Western Balkan countries by bringing together key stakeholders and raising awareness on the need to develop community oriented approaches to preventing and countering radicalism and violent extremism. The Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance contributed to the conference with the presentation “Preparedness of the Western Balkans States: What have they learned”, in the panel dedicated to the foreign fighter research and trends in radicalization.
