This report aims to assess the performance of special institutions in the fight against corruption and organized crime, analyzing the effectiveness and impact of their activities.
The report seeks to serve as an analytical tool to identify key trends and compare results, highlighting progress, challenges, and areas requiring improvement.
By relying on measurable data and structured analyses, it aims to assist policymakers, judicial institutions, and other relevant actors in addressing and tackling key challenges affecting the fight against corruption and organized crime.
A key aspect of the analysis is the comparison of the 2024 results with the four-year average (2020-2023), identifying trends and key developments in handling these issues. This approach aims to provide a balanced and data-driven assessment, avoiding interpretations based on temporary fluctuations.
As institutions enter a more consolidated phase, and in the context of Albania’s accession negotiations with the European Union, the report seeks to further deepen the performance analysis, measuring the effectiveness of results in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
In this framework, the evaluation of institutional progress takes on particular importance not only for strengthening the justice system but also for meeting European standards in the rule of law.
