Artan Puto has worked for a long time as a history lecturer. He studied at the Department of History, at the Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Tirana and in 1995 obtained a MA Degree in History from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. In 2010 he obtained the title of Doctor of Science from the European University Institute, Department of History and Civilization, in Florence, Italy. During the period between 2013-2014 he held the position of Director of the Archaeological Service Agency. Artan Puto was a researcher at the Central State Archive, a correspondent for the daily newspaper “Koha Jonë” and a local director of the Dutch Foundation “Press Now”. In the period 2002-2005 he was a collaborator of “Osservatorio sui Balcani” and a researcher in the project “We the People”, organized by the Center for Advanced Studies and the Collegium Budapest. Artan Puto is a project collaborator and author of various articles.
